Shipping & Customs Information for International Orders
We ship worldwide, and we want your experience to be transparent from checkout to delivery. Please read this page before placing an international order.
- Why might I be charged extra fees after I order?
The prices listed in our store include only the cost of the item and the shipping service you select at checkout. They do not include: customs duties, import taxes (such as VAT), or carrier processing fees that your home country may charge on goods entering from abroad.
These charges are set entirely by your country's customs authority and carrier — not by us — and are based on your local tax laws, the type of product, and its declared value.
- Who has to pay these fees?
As the recipient, you (the buyer) are legally responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, or handling fees assessed by your country. This is standard for cross-border small business e-commerce shipments worldwide, not specific to our store.
- When and how will I be asked to pay?
For most international shipments, these fees are collected by the local postal service or courier at or before delivery — not at checkout. Depending on your country, you may be able to pay online in advance using your tracking number, or you may be asked to pay the delivery carrier directly (by cash, card, or check) when your package arrives.
If fees are due, your package will typically be held at a local depot or customs facility until payment is made. We recommend responding promptly to any notice you receive to avoid delays.
- How much should I expect to pay?
The amount varies significantly by country, product type, and declared value, so we're unable to quote an exact figure in advance. As a general guideline:
-Many countries apply import VAT/sales tax in the range of 15–25% of the item's value.
-Some countries also charge a flat customs duty per shipment or per product category.
-Carriers sometimes add a separate handling or processing fee (typically a few dollars/euros) for managing the customs paperwork on your behalf.
We encourage international customers to check their own country's customs website or contact their local customs office for an estimate before ordering, especially for higher-value purchases.
- Why don't you just include these fees in the price?
We keep our prices transparent and consistent for all customers. Because import fees are calculated by each individual country based on rules that change frequently, including them in our listing prices isn't currently possible in a way that would be accurate for every destination. We're continuously evaluating better solutions to make this process smoother for our international customers.
